First, we hope that you and your families are well and staying safe. We encourage everyone to follow public health recommendations to protect the health of you, your families and your communities. We are following developments and advisories from the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) and the World Health Organization (WHO).
We understand that the need for accessible products are not diminished in light of this public health concern, and if anything may increase the need to make home modifications quickly so loved ones can come home from hospitals, if possible.
As the current global situation is evolving quickly, Accessibility Professionals is working hard to keep our products and customer service available, while protecting the health and safety of our staff.
LEAD TIMES MAY BE AFFECTED
Our manufacturing plants and suppliers are working hard to adapt to this new reality.
So far, our supply lines are set up to hopefully avoid major disruptions in production. Other suppliers have implemented reduced crews or working hours to heed social distancing recommendations but have been able to maintance production. At this time, our industry has been deemed an essential service by all relevent government bodies, so we are able to continue operating.
We understand that transport companies are trying to maintain delivery services except where limited by government restrictions. There may be some adjustments to be made depending on the proceedures and policies of each freight company.
In reality, some lead times may be affected. Stock items may take a little longer than usualy to get shipped out, and production may have unexpected delays. It is difficult to know how much lead times may or may not be affected. However, orders will be prioritized in the order that they come in. We appreciate your patience and understanding in this uncertain time.
CUSTOMER SERVICE WILL CONTINUE
Within our sales and customer service location in Barrie, Ontario, we are implementing precautionary steps to keep our Accessibility Professionals team safe and healthy.
Cleanliness – We are cleaning and sanitizing our facility, paying special attention to high-touch surfaces like door knobs, faucets and light switches. We are reminding staff to be aware of what they are touching and encouraging diligent hygiene and handwashing.
Travel – We have made accommodations for a large percentage of employees to work from home where possible. We have cancelled all non-essential business travel.
Stay Home – We are asking any member of our team who has travelled outside the country to adhere to government recommendations of 14 days self-isolation. Anyone showing any signs of illness are asked to stay home.
Social Distancing – For employees who are in the office, we are adhering to the recommended 2 metre/6 foot spacing. Group meetings and training sessions will be conducted via tele-conference.
The GOOD NEWS is that we feel confident that we can continue to provide our excellent CUSTOMER SERVICE. We will be available to answer questions, provide quotes and take your orders. We will continue to update customers as best we can with changes to lead times on active orders.
